The LEAP Test, is a food sensitivity blood panel that measures how your body has, could, and will react to 170 foods; including Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Dairy, Spices, Meats, Seafood, and Beans/Nuts/Seeds and Chemicals. The single common feature of all diet-inducted inflammatory reactions is that they cause mediator release (cytokines, leukotrienes, prostaglandins, etc) from various white blood cells (neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils, lymphocytes).
Some symptoms that could have to do with a sensitivity reaction would be: IBS, migraines, unexplained weight gain/loss, arthritis, skin problems including psoriasis, ulcers (crohns or colitis), Interstitial cystitis, fibromyalgia, heart burn, hormone, thyroid and adrenal imbalances, anxiety, feeling foggy, fatigue etc. If you have a chronic condition than it is most likely from a food sensitivity.
It can be tricky to figure out which foods are causing the problems on your own because sensitivities affect different pathways in the body and reactions can occur up to 3 days after consumption of the food. This test is different from other IgG test,s which can be performed by an MD, because the LEAP has years of clinical research and is the only Mediated Response Test (MRT), meaning It looks at the distillation of the blood as it reacts to the food proteins. Unlike other IgG tests, which only look at the histamines and you have to have eaten the food within 30 days, with the LEAP you don’t have to have ever eaten the food. The test was developed specifically for migraines and IBS but I have now been doing more research on the roles of food sensitivities in other areas of chronic conditions (listed above) and have had great results with clients.
The Lab doing the analysis is called OXFORD and they are located in Florida. They receive the blood, do the test and then send me the results. I then give them to you and explain how to use the protocol I set up for you personally.
